The entire manufacturing process is chemical-free and we do not use an additional plastic coating on the plates. This means that we offer a biodegradable product that can be disposed of on the compost after use.
Who are we?
Wiseware is a brand of wisefood, a young company from Munich. Our mission is to reduce plastic through sustainable alternatives. After replacing several hundred million straws in 20 countries at wisefood with our edible drinking straws, we at wiseware want to help consumers integrate sustainable plates, bowls and cutlery into their everyday lives.
How to make a plate made of palm leaves?
Our sustainable disposable tableware is made in India from the leaves of the Areca palm. Dropped sheets are always used for production, which are collected, sorted and tied. Then the leaves are dried and then pressed into the correct shape without the use of chemicals, but only with water vapour. The sustainable disposable tableware made of palm leaves is ready!

Unlike plastic and paper plates, palm leaf plates are more robust and dimensionally stable than paper plates. In addition, plates made of palm leaf are waterproof and cut resistant.
